Exports:
As of today, the total exports of grain and foodstuffs under the Initiative is 30,288,930 metric tonnes. This includes 625,169 metric tonnes of grain shipped by vessels chartered by the World Food Programme (WFP) in support of its humanitarian operations in Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. In 2022, Ukraine supplied more than half of WFP’s global wheat grain procurement, as it was the case in 2021. The Initiative also provides for the exports of fertilizer, including ammonia. There have been no such exports so far.
There are currently 13 vessels loading in Ukrainian ports, 6 in Chornomorsk and 7 in Odesa. No vessel is in the port of Pivdennyi/Yuzhny, the third port covered under the Initiative, which accounts for more than one-third of total exports under the Initiative.

Registrations and movements:
Since 29 April, the JCC has not reached consensus to register vessels to move to the port of Yuzhny/Pivdennyi.
Yesterday, 25 May, the parties at the JCC did not reach consensus to register any new vessel to participate in the Initiative. Today, 26 May, the JCC registered two vessels, MANTA HACER (IMO 9303429), chartered by the World Food Programme heading to Odesa and KYDONIA (IMO 9588615) heading to Chornomorsk.
CORRIGENDUM: Departures from the three Ukrainian ports until 31 May 2023. In May, three vessels departed from Yuzhny/Pivdennyi.
Inspections:
From 1 to 25 May, the JCC inspection rate has dropped to 3.2 completed inspections daily. On 25 and 26 May, the JCC has dropped the number of inspection teams to two. According to information shared by the Ukrainian delegation with the parties at the JCC, there are 54 vessels waiting to move to Ukrainian ports. Out of these, 11 applications have been shared with the JCC for registration.

The Office of the UN Coordinator and the delegation of Türkiye are working closely with the rest of the parties with the aim to resume full operations in accordance with the framework of the Initiative and agreed procedures, and lift all impediments that obstruct operations and limit the scope of the Initiative.
The Office of the UN Coordinator calls on all parties to work towards the full implementation of the Initiative's provisions. The Office further calls on all parties to work towards predictable, stable operations in line with their commitment to contribute to global food security.
