Global 15-year review process in the 54th session of the Commission on the Status of Women

At its fifty-third session in 2009, the Commission on the Status of Women decided that the 15-year review should emphasize the sharing of experiences and good practices, with a view to overcoming remaining obstacles and new challenges, including those related to the Millennium Development Goals (ECOSOC resolution 2009/_).

The modalities for the review, including the themes for interactive expert events, will be decided in informal consultations of the Bureau of the Commission with all member States and observer States.
