Participation

The fifty-fourth session of the Commission on the Status of Women will be attended by representatives of Member States, United Nations entities and of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) from all regions of the world.

In addition to ECOSOC-accredited NGOs, the Economic and Social Council has decided (E/2009/_) to invite those non-governmental organizations that were accredited to the Fourth World Conference on Women or to the twenty-third special session of the General Assembly to attend the fifty-fourth session of the Commission.
