The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

They discussed UN-Viet Nam cooperation, including Viet Nam’s decision to take part in UN peacekeeping operations.  They also discussed ASEAN-UN cooperation and the upcoming ASEAN-UN summit in Brunei in October, conflict prevention in the ASEAN region, the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the post-2015 agenda, climate change and sustainable development.
