The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Ivan Gašparovic, President of Slovakia. They discussed Slovakia’s contributions to the work of the United Nations, including to UNFICYP, the UN Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus. The Secretary-General and President Gašparovic also exchanged views on the status of the negotiations on the Cyprus issue and discussed the work of the UNDP Bratislava Regional Center.
