ECOSOC President suspends Substantive Session

ECOSOC President Nestor Osorio, in closing remarks, highlighted key accomplishments of the session. He emphasized the importance of the Council as a hub and platform for multi-stakeholder cooperation given increasing roles played by non-State actors.

  26 July 2013 - The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) this afternoon suspended its substantive 2013 session in Geneva.
• ECOSOC adopts texts on social and human rights questions
  25 July 2013 - The Economic and Social Council this morning adopted one text on economic and environmental questions and a substantial number of texts on social and human rights questions.
• ECOSOC adopts texts on economic and environmental questions and on women and development, including Palestinian women.
  24 July 2013 - The Economic and Social Council this afternoon adopted three texts on women and development and 13 texts on economic and environmental questions.
