The media breakfast will be a rare opportunity for the media to engage the Chief Executive Officer of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD), Dr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki, on NEPAD’s programme, projects implementation and other important issues pertaining to the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

Dr. Mayaki was appointed NEPAD CEO in 2009. Before joining NEPAD, he was the Executive Director of The Platform supporting rural development in Africa. From 2000 to 2004, he was a visiting professor at the University of Paris XI where he taught international affairs and international organizations. From 1996 to 2000, Dr. Mayaki served in various positions in the Government of Niger, including as Minister of Foreign Affairs and as Prime Minister. Dr. Mayaki holds a master’s degree from the National School of Public Administration, Québec, Canada, and a PhD in Administrative Sciences from the University of Paris.
