Synopsis:

An English-language adaptation of the renowned 1968 novel by Swiss writer Albert Cohen, Belle du Seigneur is set in Geneva in the 1930s. Directed by Glenio Bonder, the narrative revolves around a Jewish official employed by the League of Nations (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and his romance with a married Swiss aristocrat (Natalia Vodianova).

CCOI facilitated the filming of scenes at the Palais des Nations’ Council Chamber at the UN Office at Geneva, Switzerland.
