The President of the General Assembly (PGA) and the United Nations Office of the Special Adviser on Africa (OSAA) will convene an interactive multi-stakeholder dialogue to discuss the main findings and recommendations of the Secretary-General's report on the review of the implementation of commitments made towards Africa’s development.

The 2025 biennial report assesses the progress made in implementing commitments related to governance, human capital, and Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI).

The interactive multi-stakeholder dialogue aims to foster dialogue about the progress made in implementing commitments made toward Africa’s development in governance, human capital, and STI;  Identify opportunities for targeted action in addressing the presented gaps, thereby fulfilling commitments towards Africa by the UN Member States; and Promote an exchange on the policy implications of the interlocking global crises on the continent's development and the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the African Union Agenda 2063.

This interactive multi-stakeholder dialogue is open to Member States, representatives from non-governmental organisations in consultative status with ECOSOC, representatives from relevant non-governmental organisations, civil society organisations, academic institutions, and the private sector.

Participants will discuss the main report's findings and recommendations pursuant to United Nations General Assembly resolutions A/RES/78/262 and A/RES/79/263.

The meeting will be broadcast live on UN Web TV with interpretation in all UN official languages.
