Special Accreditation for the High-Level Meeting on HIV/AIDS
In accordance with General Assembly Resolution A/RES/80/256, the General Assembly will convene a high-level meeting on 22 and 23 June 2026, which will review progress on the 2025 targets and other commitments made in the 2021 Political Declaration, including successes, best practices, lessons learned, obstacles and gaps, challenges and opportunities, including with regard to partnership and cooperation, and recommendations to guide and monitor the HIV/AIDS response beyond 2025, including new concrete commitments to accelerate action to end the AIDS epidemic by 2030 as well as to promote the renewed commitment and engagement of leaders, countries, communities and partners to accelerate and implement a comprehensive universal and integrated response to HIV/AIDS.

Civil society organizations that are not in consultative status with UN ECOSOC MUST REQUEST special accreditation to participate in the high-level meeting on HIV/AIDS on 22 and 23 June 2026. You can check if your organization has consultative status with ECOSOC here.

Interactive Multi-Stakeholder Hearing for the 2026 High-level Meeting on HIV/AIDS
Representatives of non-governmental organizations in consultative status with ECOSOC, relevant civil society organizations, academic institutions, philanthropic foundations, medical associations, the private sector and broader communities are invited to register to attend and participate in the Multi-stakeholder Forum.
