Sophia James, youth entrepreneur in the United Republic of Tanzania. Sophia was forced to drop out of secondary school when her brother, who was paying for her school fees, died in an accident. Through the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the national Adolescent Girls Initiative, Sophia completed a training course in entrepreneurship and business management. In 2017, Sophia realized her dream: she opened her own private nursery. By 2019, her school had 43 students and employed two full-time teachers.
