HLPF 2026 Side Event
This event is co-organized by Nepal, the State of Qatar, UN-OHRLLS and UNIDO.
The side event aims to assess progress and remaining gaps in implementing the DPoA in relation to the SDGs under review at HLPF 2026, and to identify practical pathways for turning energy access, resilient infrastructure and green industrialization into a stronger investment agenda for LDCs.
The side event will focus on the following key themes

- Leveraging tools such as pipelines, blended finance, and de-risking
- Addressing the cost of capital challenge
Energy as a Driver of Structural Transformation

- Gradually moving from energy access to energy for economic transformation in LDCs
Green Industrialization Pathways for LDCs
- Promoting Sustainable Industrialization Hubs (SIHs) as catalytic models
