Walther Lichem is currently engaged in different global issues related programmes and institutions including online course programmes on the UN (UNITAR), the development of human rights cities (PDHRE) and as president of Inter Press Service (IPS). He served as Austria's Ambassador to Chile (1980-1984) and Canada (1993-2000).
