The United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF) proudly closed 2025 with exceptional achievements in delivering timely and efficient support to its clients.
Despite unprecedented volumes of work driven by organizational changes such as the UN80 Initiative, UNJSPF maintained its commitment to excellence, leveraging modernization and technology to enhance processes and client experience.
In 2025, initial separations rose by 53 per cent. Taking recalculations into account, the UNJSPF processed 23,277 new benefits, which is 33 per cent more than the previous record set in 2024, representing an additional 5,745 benefits.
Despite this surge in work volume, efficiency remained a hallmark of UNJSPF operations:
-
95.5 per cent of benchmark benefits met the 15-day target in 2025, which means that in almost the totality of cases it took 15 days or less for UNJSPF to process new benefits upon receipt of all required documentation.
-
The processing of initial separations alone reached the 15-day target in 98.1 per cent of the cases.
-
Client Services managed 114,188 client queries, maintaining timely support despite growing demand. On average, queries were resolved within just two and a half business days. We stepped up in our outreach efforts by delivering 33 town halls on pension matters, which reached over 42,000 clients.
“Behind these numbers lies a clear priority: delivering excellent service to our clients,” says Rosemarie McClean, UNJSPF Chief Executive.
“The fund’s ability to sustain high performance during a period of significant organizational change is a credit to our team and demonstrates our commitment to meeting the changing needs of participants and beneficiaries worldwide.”
The success of 2025 was powered by strategic modernization initiatives and by harnessing advanced technology and streamlining processes.
