Children with Disabilities: Day of General Discussion

The Committee identified three main issues to be considered during the day of general discussion:
(a) The right to life and development
(b) Self-representation and full participation
(c) The right of children with disabilities to inclusive education
The discussion centred on the principle of non-discrimination, and included also discussions on the importance of participation and inclusion. A set of recommendations was adopted as outcome of the discussion.
