The meeting discussed the role that ECOSOC can play in the follow-up to and implementation of the decisions adopted at the World Summit. Heads of State/Government of the ECOSOC Bureau members, Executive Heads of the Bretton Woods Institutions and organizations of the UN system, heads of delegations and senior ministerial representatives of key groups of ECOSOC member states participated in the meeting.
