Productive capacity
Developing and implementing ePing
- On 8 December, the Committee for Development Policy briefed New York based delegates and colleagues on the results of its capacity building project on removing institutional constraints in utilizing trade-related international support measures for Least Developed Countries. The briefing included a presentation of the new electronic export notification toolkit developed under the project (www.epingalert.org), alerting Least Developed Countries on new product-related requirements from trading partners. - On Wednesday, 11 March 2009 Professors Frances Stewart and José Antonio Alonso gave a briefing on the deliberations of the Committee for Development Policy on the 2009 theme of the Annual Ministerial Review on global public health (Economic and Social Council Chamber, New York). The presentations focused on the existing inequalities in health and the role of global health partnerships in addressing inequality within the framework of the Millennium Development Goals.
