The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan, Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, on the margins of the Third United Nations World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction.

They discussed cooperation between the United Nations and Viet Nam in all areas of the UN's agenda, including sustainable development.

The Secretary-General thanked the Government of Viet Nam, through the Vice President, for supporting the UN's work, including 'delivering as one,' and for inviting him to visit the country in the near future.
