The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Yun Byung-se, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK), on the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The Secretary-General noted how tackling climate change and shaping the Sustainable Development Goals are his key priorities for this year, among others. He asked for the ROK's leadership and full support for these issues. He also expressed his appreciation for the country's contribution to UN efforts to address Ebola.

The Secretary-General reiterated his readiness to support renewed engagement and dialogue between the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea on unification issues. He expressed his wish to see a breakthrough in inter-Korean relations in 2015.
