The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Ana María Solórzano, President of the Congress of Peru. 

The Secretary-General expressed gratitude for her leadership in advancing women’s rights and thanked her for her role in the commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November. 

They also discussed current legislative issues, including strengthening the protection of indigenous peoples.
