The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Ms. Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of Environment of Canada, on the margins of the United Nations Climate Change Conference.

The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for Canada's efforts to address climate change, voicing hope that the country would continue supporting the process towards securing a meaningful, universal climate agreement in Paris in 2015

The Secretary-General also thanked Canada for its recent contribution to the Green Climate Fund.
