The Secretary General met today with H.E. Mr. Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia at the margin of the ASEAN summit. 

The Secretary General congratulated Malaysia for its successful election to the Security Council as a non-permanent member for 2015-2016 and looked forward to working closely with Malaysia in the next two years.  They discussed climate change, regional issues as well as the investigation regarding downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH 17.
