The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Giorgi Margvelashvili, President of Georgia.

They discussed internal developments in Georgia and cooperation between the Government of Georgia and the United Nations. 

They exchanged views on prospects for the Geneva International Discussions.

The Secretary-General noted that 2015 would be an important year for the international community because of the post-2015 sustainable development agenda, action on climate change and the 70th anniversary of the United Nations.
