The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Ambassador Thomas Greminger of Switzerland, Chair of the Permanent Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), and H.E. Mr. Lamberto Zannier, the OSCE Secretary General.

They exchanged views on the cooperation between the UN and the OSCE.  The Secretary-General highlighted the various cooperation avenues that exist between the two organizations and thanked the OSCE for its continuous commitment to improve the partnership.

They discussed more broadly the importance of partnerships with regional organizations under Chapter VIII of the UN Charter.

Concerning Ukraine, they exchanged views on the situation and the Secretary-General thanked the OSCE for its engagement to find a sustainable solution to the crisis.
