The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Neven Mimica, the European Commissioner for International Cooperation and Development.

The Secretary-General congratulated the Commissioner on his recent appointment.

They discussed sustainable development and the post-2015 development agenda, climate change, the Green Climate Fund and Ebola. The Secretary-General thanked the Commissioner for the European Union’s active cooperation with the United Nations in all these areas.
