The Secretary-General met today in Bali, Indonesia, with H.E. Mr. José García-Margallo, Foreign Minister of Spain.

The Secretary-General expressed appreciation for Spain’s active support to the United Nations priorities and for its contribution to advance peace and security, particularly through the Alliance of Civilizations.

The Secretary-General and Mr. García-Margallo exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East, Ukraine, Libya and Colombia. The Secretary-General also appreciated Spain’s support to United Nations Peacekeeping.
