Readout of the Secretary-General’s audience with Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden

The Secretary-General held a meeting today with Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. The Secretary-General expressed gratitude for the support provided by Sweden to UN efforts across the globe, including in the fields of conflict prevention and mediation. They discussed Sweden's important role in promoting global dialogue on migration as well as the particular challenges of addressing the needs of growing numbers of refugees and IDPs around the world, including in Syria, the Central African Republic and South Sudan.
Finally, they underscored the importance of a holistic approach to the Post-2015 sustainable development agenda and the interlinkages between issues such as migration, development and environment.
