Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands

The Secretary-General met today in The Hague with Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands.
He thanked Queen Máxima for her work as his Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.
Queen Máxima informed the Secretary-General of her recent visits to several countries to promote and support inclusive finance for development, and stressed the importance of effective coordination among international institutions assisting in this important field.
The Secretary-General and Queen Máxima agreed on the importance of inclusive finance and financing for development in relation to the post-2015 development framework.
The Secretary-General expressed his deepest appreciation for the continued commitment and dedication of Queen Máxima to advancing the development agenda.
