The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Ms. Mireya Agüero de Corrales, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Ms. Karla Cuevas, Vice Minister for Human Rights, of Honduras.

The Secretary-General noted the importance of a continued focus on protection and promotion of human rights in the country, and he welcomed the continued cooperation with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in this regard.

They also discussed developments in the region.
