The Secretary-General met with H.E. Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in Jakarta today.
 
The two leaders discussed ways and means to implement in full the recently adopted ASEAN-UN Comprehensive Partnership in all areas, including disaster risk reduction and peace and security.
 
The Secretary-General and Dr. Surin exchanged views on regional issues, including Myanmar, Timor-Leste, Cambodia and the Thai-Cambodia border dispute.
