The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Marty Natalegawa, Foreign Minister of Indonesia.
They discussed the Thai/Cambodia border dispute, progress in Myanmar, developments in North Africa and the Middle East and the nuclear-weapon-free zone in South East Asia.
The Secretary-General particularly stressed the importance of Indonesia's recent ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty given that Indonesia is one of the few countries where ratification is required for the treaty to enter into force. They both urged the remaining countries which have not yet signed to follow suit.
