The Secretary-General met with the President of the Republic of Kenya, H. E. Mr. Mwai Kibaki, today. They discussed the situation in Somalia, Sudan and South Sudan. The humanitarian crisis affecting the Horn of Africa was of concern to both the Secretary-General and the President.

The Secretary-General reiterated the United Nations readiness to continue supporting the Government in the implementation of the reform agenda and preparations for 2012 general elections.
