Notice to Suppliers
and Permanent Missions Concerning Contract Applications Registered
by OIP Which Have not Been Approved and Funded
Security
Council resolution 1483 (2003), which was adopted on 22 May 2003,
requires termination of the “Oil-for-Food” Programme within 6
months of the adoption of the resolution.
The Office of
the Iraq Programme wishes to inform suppliers and Permanent Missions
that, in view of resolution 1483 (2003), it is unable to process
further any application for the export of goods to Iraq under the
“Oil-for-Food” Programme which has not yet been approved and
funded. The
table of
registered but unapproved and unfunded
contracts details the applications concerned.
Information concerning such unapproved and
unfunded applications will be provided to the Authority referred to
in resolution 1483 (2003).
The
Office of the Iraq Programme regrets that it is not in a position to
accept any direct queries from suppliers at this stage. All queries
related to implementation of resolution 1472 (2003) should be
directed through the relevant permanent
mission.
The suppliers and permanent missions are also advised to
periodically check the Office of the Iraq Programme web-site www.un.org/Depts/oip
for further updates. |
