Phanindra Dahal is a bilingual journalist working for the BBC's Nepali Service in Kathmandu. Dahal has worked on investigative stories such as post-earthquake recovery and reconstruction, highlighting the critical need to rebuild disaster-resilient houses. One of his recent stories exposed the realities of aid effectiveness and called into question the funds disbursed by international charities following earthquakes that claimed the lives of over 9,000 people in 2015. In his decade-long journalism career, Dahal has written extensively about Nepal's UN-supported peace process and has been closely covering the continuing stalemate surrounding transitional justice in the country.
