Project Description
The United Nations Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth, Ms. Jayathma Wickramanayake, undertook a multi-country official mission to Africa to meet with and listen to young people on the ground. The purpose of the mission was to learn first-hand about the issues and challenges young people face and champion investments in youth development. The mission, supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), took the Youth Envoy to five countries: Senegal, The Gambia, Ghana, Nigeria, and South Africa.
