IT IS OUT! – Zero Draft of the outcome document for the UN Summit to adopt the Post-2015 Development Agenda has just been released publicly.
The United Nations invites young people of the world to comment on the Declaration and help make it inspiring to you and your peers!
At the United Nations, governments have consulted with people all over the world to come up with a set of 17 goals to achieve over the next 15 years on issues such as improving health, providing children with a good education and fighting the damaging effects of climate change. If these “sustainable development goals” are a success, you and other young people across the world will live in a world that is fairer, safer, more prosperous for all people and where our natural environment is healthy and well-protected.
What if you were the lead writer of it – what would it say?
Participate in the E-consultation by responding to 5 Questions on the electronic form [Go to consultation form here: https://www.worldwewant2015.org/children]. Your inputs will be summarized at the end of the consultation and presented to the governments towards the end of June. The governments have called for your help – let’s together make sure that they know what the most important issues are for youth.
