On the theme of “Unity in Diversity: Celebrating Diversity for Common and Shared Values,” the 6th Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations took place in Bali, Indonesia, last week.
The Forum opened on 28 August with a youth event focusing on “The Role of Youth in Promoting “Unity in Diversity” through Education, Media, and Migration.” Youth from diverse backgrounds and with outstanding track records in intercultural dialogue and youth work had been selected to participate in this event, along with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon; UN High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser; and Marty M. Natalegawa, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The full video of the youth event is available to watch here.
