Egypt

Professor of Obstectrics and Gynaecology, Assuit University; immediate past President of the International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstectrics (FIGO); former chairman of International Medical Advisory Panel of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF); former Director of the WHO Special Programme of Research, Development and Research Training in Human Reproduction; eminent writer, speaker and advocate for women's reproductive health; currently senior advisor to the Rockefeller Foundation.
