Hassan Ndugwa (Uganda)

On 11 July 2010, Hassan Ndugwa was watching the FIFA World Cup final at the Kyadondo Rugby Club.

Hassan survived the attack, which claimed 74 lives and injured 75 people. Harakat al-Shabaab al-Mujahideen, more commonly known as Al-Shabaab, claimed responsibility for the attacks, which also included an attack against a restaurant in Kampala.

Hassan Ndugwa, together with his friend Ahmed Hadji, co-founded the Uganda Muslim Youth Development Forum (UMYDF) in 2011.
