Government Assistance to Victims

There is no special mechanism/institution to assist victims of terrorism including medical, psychological, social, material and/or spiritual assistance in Latvia. In case assistance to the victims of terrorism would be required it will be provided in the existing framework of crisis management legislation/mechanisms which is not specific for the case of terrorism.

Legal Resources available to Victims

Access to victims of terrorism is provided within the criminal justice system by national criminal legislation, Criminal Law in particular

Collaboration with other Organisations

There are no registered terror acts in Latvia so far. Collaboration with stakeholders has not been required
