\u202f<\/span><\/b>\"Palestinian Youth in East Jerusalem under Occupation\"<\/span><\/i><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The\u202f<\/span>UN Palestinian Rights Committee<\/span><\/a>, with support from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held the International Conference on the Question of Jerusalem on \"Palestinian Youth in East Jerusalem under Occupation\", as a virtual event on\u202f<\/span>20 July 2022.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>The Conference highlighted the lived reality of young Palestinians in East Jerusalem under Israeli occupation and discuss ways to support Palestinian youth-based civil society while they grapple with daily challenges.\u00a0 Through the voices of Palestinian youth in East Jerusalem the event aimed at raising awareness among Member States, civil society and the media while shedding light on Israel's curtailing the Palestinian people's rights and their ability to thrive in their city.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>The event\u00a0 discussed ways to support Palestinian Jerusalemites and to sustain their resilience as agents of change to achieve a just and lasting peace. The panel discussion focused on highlighting the role of Palestinian youth in the preservation of the final status of Jerusalem.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>
