On 14 February, the Division for Palestinian Rights held its annual interactive \u201cBriefing session for delegates\u201d on the mandate of the Committee and its programme of work, implemented by the Division. Open to all Permanent Missions, it was attended this year by 35 participants – 28 Member States and 3 Observer Missions. A presentation was made also on the \u201cSpecial Information Programme on the Question of Palestine\u201d by the Department of Global Communications. Follow up questions focused on the UNISPAL website and documents available on the platform, on the Committee\u2019s capacity-building programmes<\/span>, including information on bilateral cooperation within the context of the South-South and triangular cooperation framework, on data about settlements and relations with the Committee to Investigate Illegal Israeli Practices. The number of delegates participating in this annual briefing has been increasing over time, showing the interest of Member States on the question of Palestine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
