OCHA says that as\u00a0of this Monday, partners have reached some 670,000 people\u00a0with the monthly general food\u00a0assistance\u00a0for February.<\/p>\n
The ration size remains\u00a0reduced at 50 per cent\u00a0as the\u00a0current\u00a0stocks in the Strip are insufficient to sustain\u00a0larger\u00a0rations for the rest of the month.<\/p>\n
In recent weeks, entry of humanitarian supplies from Egypt has remained critically low due to high rejection rates by Israeli authorities. Partners also continue to advocate for the resumption of the Government-to-Government direct convoy modality from Jordan to enable the delivery of larger volumes, including food supplies.<\/p>\n
In parallel, as of mid-February, more than 20 partners produced and distributed over 1.7 million meals every day through 180 kitchens \u2013 over half a million meals in the north and 1.3 million meals in the south.<\/p>\n
As mentioned yesterday, partners are aligning the timing of cooked\u202fmeal\u202fpreparations, and distributions, with Ramadan fasting hours. They have also added additional fresh produce and protein products.<\/p>\n
On emergency shelter, between 11\u00a0and 17\u00a0February, humanitarian partners provided tents, tarpaulins, sealing-off kits, clothes, and other essential items to over 11,500 households in North Gaza, Deir al Balah and Khan Younis governorates.<\/p>\n
Shelter agencies reiterate that these\u00a0materials offer limited protection and deteriorate quickly\u00a0and\u00a0call for\u00a0longer-lasting\u00a0housing\u00a0solutions\u00a0to be let\u00a0in.<\/p>\n
