Partners in Gaza said that over the weekend, several buildings collapsed due to stormy conditions, with casualties reported.<\/p>\n<p>Three quarters of women-headed households urgently need shelter support, and two thirds urgently need clothing,\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Freliefweb.int%2Freport%2Foccupied-palestinian-territory%2Fjoint-statement-gender-humanitarian-action-working-group-hungry-cold-and-left-behind-toll-food-insecurity-gazas-women-and-girls-enar&amp;data=05%7C02%7Ckindra%40un.org%7Cccb58c03e9fb4a706ea508de418298ca%7C0f9e35db544f4f60bdcc5ea416e6dc70%7C0%7C0%7C639020226439492905%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=Xqth2EaYuV5jMLmsx9j9BokFmnlTxiV963EjWz%2FqmIk%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to<\/a><\/em>\u00a0the Gender in Humanitarian Action Working Group.<\/p>\n<p>Partners continue to work to improve access to dignified shelter for the estimated 1.3 million people who require it. In the past week, about 3,500 families affected by storms or living in flood-prone areas received tents, bedding sets, mattresses and blankets. Additionally, more than 250,000 children\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ochaopt.org%2Fcontent%2Fgaza-humanitarian-response-situation-report-no-52&amp;data=05%7C02%7Ckindra%40un.org%7Cccb58c03e9fb4a706ea508de418298ca%7C0f9e35db544f4f60bdcc5ea416e6dc70%7C0%7C0%7C639020226439516070%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=oZfm23MX1anbSkO6hSlN8Mf9ZxpH8JUp9DGsORkB2Ms%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">received<\/a><\/em>\u00a0winter clothing. However, partners estimate that 630,000 adolescents across the Strip are still in need of winter clothing assistance.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, the UN and its partners call for the lifting of all restrictions on the entry of aid into Gaza, including shelter material, as these constraints hinder humanitarian efforts to reach people in need.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the UN and its humanitarian partners continue to coordinate humanitarian missions within\u202fGaza. OCHA reports that yesterday, half of such attempts\u202fwere\u202ffacilitated\u202fby Israeli authorities. Through these missions, humanitarian teams\u202fcollected six full tankers of fuel, more than 270 pallets of medical supplies, and other essential food items from the Kerem Shalom and Zikim crossings.<\/p>\n<p>Over\u202fthe past\u202f24 hours,\u202fand despite the ceasefire, the UN has continued\u202fto receive reports of air strikes,\u202fshelling\u202fand gunfire in all five governorates of\u202fthe Gaza Strip. This has resulted in reported casualties and disruptions to humanitarian operations.
