explanation of vote concerning resolution 75\/96.<\/p>\n Mr. De Souza Monteiro <\/strong>(Brazil): Resolution 75\/96, adopted in the Fourth Committee, makes reference to the holy places of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount\/ Haram Al-Sharif. Brazil supported the resolution because of its commitment to the protection of human rights, in accordance with the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
