May,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/adalah.us4.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=4c0bb759968fd1dcd47869809&amp;id=8d60f62ee6&amp;e=5da6acb745\">Adalah<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/adalah.us4.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=4c0bb759968fd1dcd47869809&amp;id=692309c77c&amp;e=5da6acb745\">Center for Palestine Studies<\/a>\u00a0at Columbia University announced the launch of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/adalah.us4.list-manage1.com\/track\/click?u=4c0bb759968fd1dcd47869809&amp;id=58ecf6f1da&amp;e=5da6acb745\">The Nakba Files<\/a>, a new website that will serve as an online space for researchers and practitioners to explore new approaches to law in Israel\/Palestine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 24 May, at 10:30 am, the Israel Palestine Working Group is hosting a conversation with Rabbi Ascherman from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/rhr.org.il\/eng\/\">Rabbis for Human Rights<\/a> at the Presbyterian Conference Room in the Church Centre for the United Nations in New York.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 27 May,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SilkRoadDabkeTroupe\/\">Silk Road Dabke Troupe<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pal-youth.org\/\">Palestinian Youth Movement<\/a> are organizing an evening of dance, stories, digital narratives and cultural resistance in commemoration of the Nakba in Oakland, California.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 1 June, opening its 16-days \u201cVoices on Palestine: Summer Film Series 2016\u201d,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejerusalemfund.org\/\">The Washington DC based Jerusalem Fund<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejerusalemfund.org\/events\/upcoming\/9170\">screening<\/a> the film \u201cOn the Bride\u2019s Side\u201d, which records the journey of five undocumented Syrian and Palestinian refugees seeking political asylum.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 3 June,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejerusalemfund.org\/\">The Jerusalem Fund<\/a>\u00a0is organizing in Washington, D.C., a gallery\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thejerusalemfund.org\/events\/upcoming\/gallery-exhibition-forbidden-colors\">exhibition<\/a>\u00a0called\u00a0<em>Forbidden Colors<\/em>, which takes its name from a 1980 Israeli law forbidding art composed of the four colors of the Palestinian flag.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"16\" data-lineheight=\"24px\"><strong>Europe<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>From 21 to 23 May, several organisations and individuals from across Oxford, United Kingdom, are hosting the second edition of the city\u2019s festival to celebrate Palestinian life and culture: \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/palestineunlocked.com\/events\/\">Palestine Unlocked Festival<\/a>\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>From 23 May to 5 June, the second edition of the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/festivalpalestine.paris\/en\">Festival Cin\u00e9-Palestine<\/a> is taking place in Paris, aiming at promoting the Palestinian cinematographic work and supporting a new generation of artists in this field.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 28 May, the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.plateforme-palestine.org\/\">French Platform of NGOs for Palestine<\/a>\u00a0is holding a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/plateforme-palestine.org\/Conference-debat-La-de-palestinisation-de-Jerusalem-Est\">conference<\/a> on \u201cThe de-Palestinization of East Jerusalem\u201d in Paris.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>On 2\u00a0June, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/CPJPO\/?fref=nf\">Comit\u00e9 pour une Paix Juste au Proche-Orient<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/CPJPO\/posts\/517281858479970\">screening<\/a>\u00a0the movie\u00a0<em>Le Temps Qu\u2019il Reste<\/em>, an auto-biography that traces with humour the journey of a Palestinian family of Nazareth from 1948 to nowadays, at 18h30 in Luxembourg.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"16\" data-lineheight=\"24px\"><strong>Middle East<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>On 14 April,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dci-palestine.org\/\">Defense for Children International Palestine<\/a>\u00a0published a new\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dci-palestine.org\/palestinian_children_in_the_israeli_military_detention_system\">report<\/a> \u201cNo Way to Treat a Child\u201d, detailing the widespread and systematic ill-treatment of Palestinian children in the Israeli military detention system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>From 21 to 26 May, the annual\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/palfest.org\/\">Palestine Festival of Literature<\/a>\u00a0(PalFest) will be held in Ramallah, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Haifa and Nablus as international literary stars perform free, public events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" data-fontsize=\"16\" data-lineheight=\"24px\"><strong>United Nations<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The Palestine, Decolonization and Human Rights Section of the UN Department of Public Information has decided to extend the application deadline for its\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/unic.un.org\/palestinemediatraining\/\">annual training programme<\/a> for Palestinian media practitioners until 31 May 2016.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Civil society organizations can\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/fs22.formsite.com\/unngls\/form26\/index.html\">apply<\/a>\u00a0to attend or speak at the President of the UN General Assembly\u2019s High-level Thematic Debate on Human Rights, at UN Headquarters, New York, 12-13 July
