The Committee and the Division for Palestinian Rights of the UN Secretariat provide the information \u201cas is\u201d without warranty of any kind, and do not accept any responsibility or liability for the accuracy, or reliability of the information contained in the websites linked in the newsletter.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<h2 class=\"entry-title fusion-post-title\" data-fontsize=\"18\" data-lineheight=\"27px\"><strong>NGO Action News<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u00a010 February 2017<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><u>Middle East<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"text-align: left;\" data-fontsize=\"18\" data-lineheight=\"27px\">The Palestinian Human Rights Organizations Council (PHROC) has issued a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.alhaq.org\/advocacy\/targets\/palestinian-human-rights-organizations\/1103-phroc-calls-for-immediate-action-by-international-community-on-israels-regularization-law\"><u>statement condemning the passage of Israel\u2019s \u201cRegularization Law\u201d<\/u><\/a>\u00a0which legalizes 4000 settlement housing units and 55 settlement outposts built on private Palestinian land.<\/li>\n<li data-fontsize=\"18\" data-lineheight=\"27px\"><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00b7\u00a0On 7 February, Peace Now announced that, together with Yesh Din and the Association for Civil Rights in Israel (ACRI), it will petition the Israeli Supreme Court\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/peacenow.org.il\/en\/legalization-law-passes-second-third-readings\"><u>to strike down the \u201cRegularization Law\u201d<\/u><\/a>\u00a0adopted by the Israeli Knesset.<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00b7\u00a0Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association has published a new report entitled\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.addameer.org\/publications\/reports\"><i><u>\u201cThe Economic Exploitation of Palestinian Prisoners\u201d<\/u><\/i><\/a>\u00a0which addresses the economic aspects of the imprisonment of over 800,000 Palestinians since the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza began in 1967.\u00b7\u00a0The Palestinian Prisoners\u2019 Society, Al-Mezan Centre for Human Rights, Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, and the Prisoners\u2019 Affairs Commission have published a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.addameer.org\/news\/joint-report-estimates-590-palestinians-arrested-january-2017\"><u>joint monthly report<\/u><\/a>\u00a0which indicates,\u00a0<i>inter alia<\/i>, that Israeli authorities arrested 590 Palestinians in January 2017, including 128 children and 14 women.<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00b7\u00a0Six Palestinian civil society organizations (Community Action Centre \u2013 Al-Quds University, Jerusalem Legal Aid and Human Rights Centre (JLAC), the Society of St.Yves, Al-Haq, BADIL and al-Shabaka) in collaboration with Visualizing Palestine have created a series of visuals on the situation in occupied East Jerusalem, the first of which is entitled\u00a0<i>\u201cLiving under policies of colonization in Jerusalem\u201d<\/i>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div align=\"center\"><b><u>North America<\/u><\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00b7\u00a0On 23 February the Middle East Children\u2019s Alliance will host the US premiere of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/jerusalemwearehere.com\/\"><i><u>Jerusalem, We Are Here<\/u><\/i><\/a>\u00a0\u2013 an interactive documentary that digitally brings Palestinians back into Jerusalem neighbourhoods from which they were expelled in 1948.
