Question<\/u>: …And secondly, in a very closely watched ruling, an Israeli court has proposed a compromise that would avoid Palestinian evictions in Sheikh Jarrah.\u00a0 That was one of the sparks of the recent Gaza conflict.\u00a0 Does the Secretary\u2014General have any comment?<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>: …On your second question on Sheikh Jarrah, we\u2019re, obviously, following what\u2019s going on in the court closely.\u00a0 Our understanding is that a final ruling is expected later in the week.\u00a0 From our standpoint, what has always been our standpoint is that all settlement activities, including evictions, demolitions, are illegal under international law.\u00a0 Abdelhamid?<\/p>\n

Question<\/u>:\u00a0 A follow\u2014up to Sheikh Jarrah.\u00a0 The offer given to the residents of Sheikh Jarrah was to consider them rental, consider them renting these houses, which was not acceptable, so the court was postponed to next week.\u00a0 So, do you have any concrete\u2026<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 Well, I mean, listen, I think\u2026 we\u2019ve seen those press reports\u2026 I mean, we\u2019ve seen the reports, the reactions from the different parties.\u00a0 Our position, I think, is pretty clear.\u00a0 We will wait, obviously, till the full decision taken by the court\u2026<\/p>\n

Question<\/u>:\u00a0 Steph, I\u2019ve been asking few questions, and I had not received an answer.\u00a0 One of them is, where is Mr.\u00a0Tor Wennesland?\u00a0 I haven\u2019t seen any statement from him, including the murder of a 12\u2014year\u2014old boy, and I\u2019m sure you probably saw, and I didn\u2019t get any answer.<\/p>\n
