Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 I will leave the analysis to you and other journalists.\u00a0 Our stance on the illegality of settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory remains unchanged.<\/p>\n

Question<\/u>:\u00a0 Thanks so much.\u00a0 It\u2019s just a continuation of Toby\u2019s question, actually.\u00a0 Mr. Pompeo is, obviously, in the West Bank.\u00a0 He\u2019s been meeting with Israeli officials.\u00a0 He\u2019s made references to the Palestinian boycott, divestment and sanctions movement, BDS.\u00a0 He said that it\u2019s anti\u2011Semitic.\u00a0 Does the UN have a position on BDS? \u00a0And what is that position in a line or two?<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 Not that I\u2019m aware of at this point, but I will get back to you.<\/p>\n

Question<\/u>:\u00a0 So, my second question is back to the Secretary of State visit to the West Bank and the settlements.\u00a0 I understand that you don\u2019t\u2026\u00a0 in general, you don\u2019t comment on these issues, but in this case, actually, this visit comes against UN resolutions, on occupied territory to settlements, so I do not understand why don\u2019t you have a comment on that.<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 I have\u2026\u00a0 the comment that I have is that our position is clear, right, on where we stand on illegal settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.\u00a0 The respect for Security Council resolutions is up to Member States to respect those resolutions.<\/p>\n

Question<\/u>:\u00a0 But don\u2019t you\u2026\u00a0 so, yeah, absolutely, but somebody is\u2026\u00a0 Secretary of State is not respecting your own resolutions.\u00a0 So, you don\u2019t have a comment on that?<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 Resolutions of the Security Council are everyone [inaudible] resolutions.<\/p>\n
