Question<\/u>:\u00a0 Thank you, St\u00e9phane.\u00a0 The UN is a member of the Quartet, and there was call by the Russian Federation for a meeting of the Quartet to meet on the issue of annexation, which is just 27\u00a0days ago\u2026 \u00a0away from us.\u00a0 Why the SG is waiting for someone else to call for the meeting of the Quartet since the UN is an integral part of the Quartet? \u00a0Isn’t he going to be\u2026<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 Abdelhamid, I don’t think the SG is waiting.\u00a0 I would refer you back to what Mr. [Nickolay] Mladenov said in his open\u2026 \u00a0the open meeting of the Security Council calling for the Quartet to meet.\u00a0 Obviously, every other\u2026 other parties need to\u2026 \u00a0I mean, everyone who’s involved in any structure needs to agree, but I don’t have anything I’m able to share with you at this point on what is a very important question, indeed.<\/p>\n

Question<\/u>:\u00a0 Did he initiate any contact with members of the Quartet? \u00a0Is he going to be\u2026<\/p>\n

Spokesman<\/u>:\u00a0 Yes, he has been in touch with members of the Quartet, actively so.<\/p>\n
